Rahimisa Kamuingona is an experienced social worker from Namibia, with more than 17 years’ work experience in various governmental institutions and non-governmental organizations.

She has significant experience in child protection programming which include the development of children’s legislation and its implementation, psychosocial support, training and quality assurance in case management. She was instrumental in facilitating the process of Namibia’s accession to the Hague Convention on Inter-country Adoption. She has programming experience in alternative care (which include foster, adoption and place of safety for children in need of care including OVC).  She has extensive experience in HIV, gender based violence programs at operation and policy development level. Rahimisa has participated extensively in the evaluation of certain donor funded programs and has contributed to the development of important policy documents such as the National Agenda for children, the Standard Operating Procedure for the Gender Based Violence Protection units (which are still to be finalized) and the National Referral Mechanism on Trafficking in Namibia, the Case Management System for the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare. She is also currently leading the process of finalizing the regulations on the Child Care and Protection Act of 2015.
